Brass Lion Distillery

It all began in 2012 when Jamie Koh realised that Singapore didn’t have a spirit to call its own. It sparked her six-year journey to master the art and science of distillation under master distillers all over the world and culminated in Singapore’s first fully fledged micro-distillery, Brass Lion Distillery, producing spirits that encapsulate the essence of Singapore.

The brand’s flagship Singapore Dry Gin is crafted with 22 botanicals that were carefully selected to reflect Singapore’s identity as a cultural melting pot. Each of their distinctive spirit creations, including their Butterfly Pea Gin and Pahit Pink Gin, feature familiar South East Asian flavours that blend Singaporean tradition and innovation.

Today, the brand is trademarked and a pioneer in the nation’s gin industry, with Asian-inspired spirits that retail in over 200 venues. Brass Lion Distillery is also the first in Singapore to offer a complete distillery experience, including distillery tours and a tasting room where guests can try their signature gin and tonics along with specialty cocktails created using their premium gins. It is also the only distillery in Asia to offer gin-making classes where visitors are able to distil their very own bottle of gin.

What’s next? Brass Lion Distillery aims to become a world-renowned brand. With the recent disruptions caused by the pandemic, the brand’s plans for international expansion were put on hold. With borders reopening, Brass Lion looks to bring their brand to the world stage and put Singaporean spirits on the map.
