More about Ms Anna Lam

Did you know that every year, Singaporeans throw away 500 million units of disposable cutlery items? Motivated by the amount of single-use plastic waste she personally accumulated during the circuit breaker, Anna Lam was determined to find a way to make sustainability fun and accessible for other as well. It was then that she realised that the inconvenience pain point had to be solved to make an impact on single-use plastic consumption in Singapore.

Together with her two co-founders, Anna started Crunch Cutlery. It is the first startup to address the problems of plastic waste and poor urban nutrition with a single product. Every CRUNCH Cutlery you use - is one less plastic cutlery polluting our environment.

Find out more about her innovation journey by joining us on 10 February 2023.

More about Mr Gavriel Tan

Over 80% of the world are already consuming crickets, so why not us too?

"Edible insects have always been a part of human diets, but in some societies there remains a degree of disdain and disgust for their consumption. Insects offer a significant opportunity to merge traditional knowledge and modern science to improve human food security worldwide." (Edible Insects: Future Prospects for Food and Feed Security)

Inspired by this text, Gavriel Tan and John Lee founded a startup, Altimate Nutrition, while pursuing an entrepreneurship programme in their college. Satisfied wth the scientific evidence and rigour, they ventured out to create their own cricket protein bars by blending nutritious foods and several other ingredients. After many trials, they knew they had something special and was ready to share it with the world.

Join us on 10 February to hear more about Gavriel's journey and lessons on innovation.
