Filing a Singapore application

Please proceed to our e-services portal, IPOS Digital Hub, to file your forms online. The acceptable modes of payment can be found here.

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore has issued circulars on upcoming fee updates. In general, the majority of the fee updates will take effect on 1 September 2025, and the other fee updates will take effect on 1 April 2026. Please refer to our News page for more information.

Filing a PCT application

The PCT Request Form can be downloaded from the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) website.
Applicants can file their international applications with Singapore as the receiving Office via an electronic application through ePCT - an e-filing server service that is hosted by the International Bureau. New ePCT users have to register with WIPO as an ePCT user, create an account and upload a digital certificate. You can do so by accessing the ePCT homepage
Please note that electronic filing of international applications via ePCT is not available via IPOS Digital Hub or at IPOS computer terminals.
Applicant can refer to the Administrative instructions under the PCT for instructions relating to the international application, the receiving Office, the International Bureau, the International Searching Authority and the International Preliminary Examining Authority.

PCT Updates

From 1 January 2017, applicants intending to have their international application searched and examined by Singapore, can file the international application and PCT Request Form (PCT/RO/101), through Singapore or the IB as the receiving Office using Chinese as a language. There is no need to file a translation of the international application in English.
However, a translation of the international application in English, or in whichever language that is accepted, would have to be furnished in accordance with PCT Rule 12.3, if an International Searching Authority other than Singapore is chosen.

In order to rely on an earlier search report, it is mandatory for the relevant information to be furnished when filing for the PCT international application.
