IPOS meets with the EUIPO Boards of Appeal via video conferencing

IPOS and the EUIPO Boards of Appeal held a virtual meeting to exchange best practices in IP dispute resolution. Discussions covered recent developments in NFTs, the metaverse, and AI tools in IP administration.

As part of ongoing sharing of best practices and information exchange, IPOS had a virtual meeting with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Boards of Appeal on 25 January 2024.

Both offices exchanged the developments in IP dispute resolution in their countries, recent activities, experiences and case law on topics of mutual interest.

Among the topics discussed were the latest developments in NFTs and metaverse, and AI tools for IP administration. Both offices agreed to continue this friendly exchange of ideas and updates.

The EUIPO Boards of Appeal is one of the world’s leaders in IP dispute resolution.
