IPOS Appoints New IP Adjudicators 2024
1 April 2024
IPOS has appointed four distinguished legal and intellectual property professionals to its panel of IP Adjudicators. These appointments will take effect from 1 April 2024 for a term of two years.
IPOS Panel of IP Adjudicators 2024
The two new appointees are:
Mr Sim Junhui, Assistant Registrar, Supreme Court of Singapore
Junhui is a member of the IP/IT Specialised Cluster of the Supreme Court Registry and manages cases in the General Division of the High Court (GDHC) and the Singapore International Commercial Court. He has experience adjudicating matters in the GDHC, including various interlocutory applications in civil and commercial matters. Prior to joining the judiciary, Junhui was an advocate and solicitor specialising in civil and commercial litigation.Mr Tan Tee Jim, Senior Counsel, Senior Partner and Head, Intellectual Property, Lee & Lee
Tee Jim has specialised in IP law since his call to the Singapore Bar in 1980. He has been involved in landmark IP cases and is also a Deputy President of the Copyright Tribunals. He is the General Editor of “Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore (Intellectual Property)” and the author of “Law of Trade Marks in Singapore” (Sweet & Maxwell, 4th ed., 2021).
The following IP Adjudicators have completed their two-year term and are re-appointed to the new panel of 2024:
Mr Vince Gui, District Judge, State Courts of Singapore
Professor David Llewelyn, Professor of Law (Practice), School of Law, Singapore Management University
The panel of IP Adjudicators will help advance Singapore’s development as a global IP dispute resolution hub, as enterprises look to Singapore as a choice venue for efficient and quality IP dispute resolution.
Appreciation for service as IP Adjudicators
IPOS would also like to extend its appreciation to the following IP Adjudicators who have completed their term.

who have completed their term on 31 March 2023.Ms Cheng Pei Feng, Senior Assistant Registrar, Supreme Court of Singapore;

Mr M. Ravindran, Managing Partner, Ravindran Associates LLP; and
Dr Burton Ong, Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore
who have completed their term on 31 March 2024.
