Circular: Public Consultation on Proposed Changes to Intellectual Property Regime

1. The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (“IPOS”) is seeking public feedback on proposed changes to Singapore’s intellectual property (“IP”) regime.

Why is IPOS doing this?

2. In its ongoing commitment to maintaining a world-class IP regime in Singapore, IPOS has identified potential improvements across patents, trade marks, registered designs, plant varieties and geographical indications regimes.

How do I submit my feedback?

3. Your views are important to us. The public consultation period will run from 15 October 2025 (Wednesday) to 11 November 2025 25 November 2025 (Tuesday) (Note: This has been extended by two weeks from the original deadline of 11 November 2025, following feedback from stakeholders). We look forward to hearing your feedback via FormSG submission here. Please note that submissions received after 25 November 2025 will not be accepted, and no further extensions will be granted.
