After a PhD in reaction engineering, Paul Sharratt spent 4 years with ICI plc in process technology, development and plant design. In UMIST/University of Manchester, he worked on process development tools, process understanding, sustainability, safety and environmental performance. His work developed tools for process understanding that are still used in many companies today. In A*Star, Paul Sharratt managed a large process research group and pilot facility, and developed continuous process technologies. He has skills in process development, scale-up, modelling and innovation as well as process safety, sustainability and technoeconomic analysis.
