More about Ms Trina Ha
Ms Trina Ha is the Director of the Legal Department at IPOS where she manages the legal affairs of the IP office including supporting IP policy reform and advising on IP issues in international agreements.   She also specialises in matters relating to the management of IP by public agencies.

Her experience includes advising public agencies on the adoption of Singapore’s National IP Protocol, an enhanced government-level IP management framework. Ms Ha is a member of the IP Experts Group of the National IP Working Group, tasked with developing IP-related template agreement for public agencies. She has been listed in the 2020 & 2021 editions of the IAM Strategy 300 :The World’s Leading IP Strategists guide.

Prior to joining public service, Ms Ha was in private practice where she specialised in matters involving the protection, management and exploitation of intellectual property rights, particularly in the media and entertainment sectors. During her time in legal practice, she was ranked annually since 2007 in the intellectual property industry and TMT industry by the Asia Pacific Legal 500.   

More about Mr Albert Kong
Mr Albert Kong is the Founder/CEO of Asiawide Franchise Consultants and has 32 years of franchising experience. When he was Group Marketing Manager with a public-listed company (1988), that company bought a pizza franchise business. He then became GM Marketing for a subsidiary of a listed company that was the franchisee of Starbucks, Burger King, Orange Julius and Dairy Queen in 1989. He was later headhunted to become the GM of a franchise consulting company in 1990. Via an MBO, he bought over the business and operated a master franchise from the UK for 11+ years (1991-2002) and set up Asiawide Franchise Consultants Pte Ltd (name change) in November 2003.

Mr Kong leads a team of very experienced consultants (who have helped close to 1300 Asian companies (as at end of 2020) throughout the region in franchise development and other consulting projects, including feasibility studies, franchise-brokerage, franchise operations audit and other business consulting services. He currently has a network of over 70 strategic partners in over 50 nations worldwide.

More about Mr Paul McClelland
Mr Paul McClelland is a Scottish lawyer specialising in intellectual property law and commercial dispute resolution. Before joining IPOS International Pte Ltd, Mr McClelland was sole corporate counsel for a well-known Singaporean brand, where he was responsible for a broad range of commercial matters, including worldwide trademark registrations and oppositions, management of external counsel, contract review, and training. He has also worked in private practice in both Singaporean and Scottish law firms.
