IPOS and Hungary explores opportunities for collaboration in IP and innovation

24 May 2017 – Chief Executive of IPOS, Mr Daren Tang, was warmly received by the President of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO), Mr Viktor Łuszcz, in his visit to Budapest.

Mr Tang and Mr Łuszcz signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate closer cooperation between both offices through the exchange of information and expertise. Both offices also had fruitful discussions on topics such as IP valuation and the role of the IP office in the innovation ecosystem. At the sidelines of the visit to HIPO, Mr Tang also met with representatives from the Hungarian Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright at Danubia Patent and Law Office.

These visits offered insights on Hungary’s IP and innovation landscape as well as opened windows of opportunities for collaboration such as leveraging networks and helping companies commercialise their IP.

IPOS looks forward to working closely with Hungary in our efforts to connect local service providers and enterprises with IP and innovation communities around the world.
