Information on Service Bureau (SB) Surcharges

  1. Where submissions are made via the Service Bureau (SB), applicants are to enclose together with their submissions, a copy of the Service Bureau Request Form. These would also include Patents Forms which bear zero official fees. The form can be downloaded here.
  2. PF 26 filed under Rule 118, and PF 23 filed to correct PF15, PF16 or PF53 are NOT subjected to SB surcharges.
  3. PF 15 and PF 53 filed with a copy of the Registrar’s letter invoking Rule 100 are NOT subjected to SB surcharges.
  4. Cover letters included in the attached documents are NOT subjected to SB surcharges.
  5. Patents Forms not listed in the above table are not filed under the Service Bureau and hence SB surcharges do not apply.
