Unique Entity Number (UEN)

In line with the Singapore Government’s UEN initiative, a part of the Integrated Government 2010 (iGov2010) Masterplan, IPOS will be adopting UEN with effect from 1 July 2009.

A new UEN function has been developed for each of IPOS’ online filing in eTrademarks, eDesigns and ePatents Online Internet Services (OIS) to facilitate the acceptance of UEN. We are happy to inform you that there will be no disruption to users. Users can continue to transact with IPOS in the same manner as they currently do.

A new look-up function will be introduced for agents using the UEN number. This allows an agent to query the agent code using the UEN number. If there is a match, the corresponding agent code(s) shall be displayed.

The links to the new look-up functions for eTrademarks, eDesigns and ePatents can be found below:

User guides of how the new UEN functions work in each of the above-mentioned systems can be found below:

IPOS has also prepared a list of UEN FAQs.

For more details on UEN, you can visit the Singapore Government's official UEN website as well as Ministry of Finance's webpage on UEN.

If you need further clarification, please submit your query here.
