The Legal Department is seeking an experienced patent practitioner to be located in Singapore. This position will assist with expanding operations in Asia-Pacific.
1. Ensure ongoing development of a robust patent portfolio for Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis businesses
2. Writing and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical or physical/mechanical arts for chemical/biochemical analyses and devices, which may also involve other art areas (e.g. biochemical, software)
3. Managing outside counsel in their writing and prosecuting of patent applications

Requirements
1. A JD or LL.B degree or equivalent, and an undergraduate degree preferably in physics or biophysics and possibly an advanced degree in one of the foregoing areas
2. Will be or have been admitted to practice before a national or regional patent office, preferably the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
3. Preferably have coursework and experience in chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, and/or test and measurement equipment
4. Five to ten years practical experience, at least five of which will be relevant to patent practice
