To make Singapore a compelling Intellectual Property (IP) hub with an IP savvy generation, we have developed several programmes with our different target groups in mind including the general public, schools, businesses and IP professionals. Here’s a quick look at the programmes that we have designed to date:
To groom an IP savvy culture in Singapore, it is important to raise IP awareness level and to educate the general public and students on IP. Our public outreach initiative, the HIP (Honour IP) Alliance, encourages people to respect and reward original creative works by Saying NO! to Piracy. On the education front, we provide informative resources and educational programmes that will equip individuals and organisations with the tools and knowledge to apply IP effectively. IP is an increasingly valuable asset to any business today. It is hence critical for companies to manage their IP well so as to gain maximum value for their bottomline. Recognising this importance, we have developed IP management (IPM) programme for the business community as well as useful tools to help companies in their IPM. To develop the pool of IP professionals in Singapore, we have also put in place programmes to help develop their skills and capabilities so as to meet the growing demand for their expertise. Find out more about our programmes for IP Professionals.
