To groom a generation that is savvy about Intellectual Property (IP), we have organised a wide spectrum of awareness and education programmes ranging from public and industry talks, IP clinics, public roadshows and even a peer ambassadorship programme promoting respect for IP rights called HIP Friends.
- HIP (Honour Intellectual Property) Alliance
IPOS' flagship public awareness initiative launched in April 2002, is a group of Government agencies, private organisations and industry associations with a common interest in pursuing the need for education on IP. The HIP Alliance educates people on the need to respect and reward original creative works by Saying No! to Piracy.
- IPERC (Intellectual Property Education and Resource Centre)
It provides informative resources and education programmes that will equip individuals and organisations with the tools and knowledge to apply IP effectively.
- iperckidz
Recognising that a healthy respect for IP is best inculcated from young, IPOS runs a targeted IP education programme for schools known as iperckidz. iperckidz comprises interactive and fun resources such as the iperckidz website, e-learning modules, comics and IP learning kits. The iperckidz programme also includes roadshows and assembly talks to schools where students learn more about IP. It also features Singapore’s very own IP icon - Detective IP. He is both a friend and mentor to students who are keen to explore the learning journeys in IP. Be curious, investigate IP today!
