Clean Technology and Related IP Considerations

Singapore, 11 October 2010 The European Patent Office (EPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will be organising the Europe Asia Patent and Patent Information Conference (EAP2IC) 2010 from 13 to 14 October 2010.

 

Running in its 8th year, EAP2IC 2010 serves as a platform where leading voices in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry come together to share  insights as well as latest trends and developments on patent information and IP management.

 

The theme for EAP2IC 2010 is on clean technology. Despite the global economic downturn, clean technology innovations have continued to thrive. As the demand for clean technology continues to increase, so does the importance of protecting its IP. 

 

Keynote address will be made by Mr Erik Mullier, Vice President, IPR R&D, Vestas Technology. Other prominent speakers include Mr Lutz Mailander, Head of Patent Information Secion, World Intellectual Property Office, Mr Pierre Avedikian, Director of Publications, European Patent Office and Mr Frank Levinson, CEO and Founder, Small World Group. 

 

EAP²IC 2010 will dedicate a half day segment to a discussion on clean technology and IP, followed by workshop sessions with a focus on patent mapping.
