Singapore, 20 July 2009 – The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will be organising the Trading Ideas 2009 (TI2009) Symposium from 30 to 31 July 2009 as part of the APEC 2009 Singapore calendar.
TI2009 will be a landmark meeting, bringing together IP professionals, policy makers, experts and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to discuss and debate on a range of issues related to IP commercialisation. Set against the backdrop of the current global economic downturn and key emerging issues of the digital age, the conference aims to generate robust debates on a range of strategic IP issues as well as address practical IP issues that will impact business strategies and IP policies in the next few years.
Featuring the current who's who in the IP world, including Dr Francis Gurry, Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), and IP leaders of the various IP offices, TI2009 will provide an interactive and engaging platform for the exchange of ideas and networking with participants and speakers from Asia, Europe, Latin America and 21 APEC economies.
