Second Company Raided for Using Copyright Infringing Software

On 8 Feb 2007 at about 10.30am, Police raided a company located at Orchard Towers for using copyright infringing software. A total of two servers, eight desktop computers, 14 laptop computers and three CD-ROMs suspected to be copyright infringing (pirated) were seized for purpose of investigations. This is the second Police raid targeting corporate end users, following a raid in September 2005 that led to the landmark conviction of an interior design firm under the Copyright Act in April 2006.
