The Europe-Asia Patent Information Conference (EAPIC), the premier patent information conference held in Asia, is an annual event jointly organised by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). It serves as a platform where leading voices in the IP industry come together to discuss and exchange insight and trends in patent information and IP management.
In its 6th consecutive year, EAPIC was renamed EAP2IC, to better reflect the scope of the conference - beyond patent information to the strategic application of patents and patent intelligence.
Now, more than ever, organisations need to have strategies to effectively protect and leverage their IP rights, sustain innovation, and ultimately increase revenue through effective management of IP. Patents in particular, are key elements of business success. However, to gain a competitive advantage, and to capitalise on patents, the development of a successful patent strategy is crucial. In many cases, the patent landscape provides a wealth of information which is often underutilised for this purpose. EAP2IC 2008 seeks to unlock the practices and processes in the strategic application of patents and patent intelligence.
EAP2IC 2008 features presentations by various speakers in a single track on the first day and hands-on workshops on the second day which would be conducted in parallel tracks.
