Post (1): Assistant Director, Enterprise Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, implement and drive-to-closure Intellectual Property Management (IPM) projects.
- Develop strategy and action plans to strengthen and transfer IPM capabilities.
- Implement and maintain IPM processes and best practices.
- Promote and establish IPM community of practice across entire ecosystem.
- Develop and share of IPM processes, best practices and case studies for use in self-help reference and resource.
- Support training, mentoring and coaching of IP and IPM topics.
- Support and assist business/technical lead and legal counsels in IPM projects.
- Organise and manage IPM events.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science and engineering with postgraduate qualifications in IP, business or technical domain. Those without IP qualifications or experience but are willing to undergo IP certification course upgrading (i.e. Graduate Certificate in IP Law course) are encouraged to apply;
- At least 4-5 years working experience with minimum 1 year experience dealing with IP, project management, product or services development, R&D, technology transfer, new venture start-up or within a science or technical field;
- Good hands-on technical and analytical skills;
- Good understanding and awareness of technologies and applications;
- Candidates with a flair for writing, community development and communication skills will be highly regarded.
Post (2): Assistant Director/Senior Executive Public Relations Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Department to plan and execute corporate communications activities to promote the organisation through the media and other publicity channels.
- Write media releases, craft media replies and speeches, manage website content, organise corporate and media events, and produce corporate and marketing collateral.
- Maintain good working relations with the local and foreign media.
- Support Crisis Communications, Corporate Identity Management and Events Management.
Job Requirements:
- A good recognised Degree in Mass Communications or any discipline;
- Must possess excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills and be effectively bilingual for interacting with all levels of personnel;
- Prior experience in corporate communications, public and media relations will be an advantage. Preferably 4-5 years’ experience for Assistant Director post;
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for Senior Executive post.
Post (3); Assistant Director/Senior Executive, Industry Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the product development activities of an online IP Innovation Platform.
- Work with marketing team and IP inventory team to understand customer needs.
- Manage consultant in designing the business processes of the IP Innovation Platform.
- Manage vendor to develop and deliver the IP Innovation Platform.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in any discipline, engineering preferred;
- 4-5 years’ of project management and product development/process design experience. Candidates with 2-3 years’ of experience can apply for Senior Executive post;
- Have experience in improving workflows and procedures;
- Keen interest in the use of the Internet and new media to enhance customer experience;
- Good appreciation of IP is an added advantage.
Post (4); Assistant Director/Senior Executive, Industry Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the marketing activities of an online IP Innovation Platform.
- Work with product development team to devise marketing strategies.
- Manage launch campaigns for the IP Innovation Platform.
- Manage consultant to ensure effective branding and marketing communications including the IP Innovation Platform’s website, advertising and promotion.
- Analyse the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in any discipline, marketing preferred;
- 4-5 years’ of business development or marketing experience. Candidates with 2-3 years’ of experience can apply for Senior Executive post;
- Strong effective communicator;
- Experience in managing external communication consulting firms and contractors;
- Good appreciation of IP is an added advantage.
Post (5); Assistant Director/Senior Executive, Industry Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the IP/ideas repository of an online IP Innovation Platform.
- Communicate with inventors and invention societies regarding use of the platform.
- Receive, process and clarify IP/ideas for publication on the IP Innovation Platform.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in any technical discipline, engineering and life sciences preferred;
- 4-5 years’ of marketing/commercialization/experience in an industry with high IP content. Candidates with 2-3 years’ of experience can apply for Senior Executive post;
- Highly innovative and creative;
- Good understanding of patents and its manner of exploitation is a must.
Post (6): Senior Executive, Enterprise Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote the value of IP management to SMEs, attend to and vet grant applications, recommend funding quantum and attend SCOPE IP sessions to ensure effective use of the SCOPE IP tool.
- Promote IPM programme through outreach programmes/events with industry associations and/or funding agencies.
- Conduct SCOPE IP training, review SCOPE IP tools/methodology for improvement and manage pool of licensed SCOPE IP consultants.
- Prepare programme’s monthly reports to funding agencies.
- Administer programme, including processing of applications and claim documents, preparing and dispatching Letter of Offers, forwarding the approved applications and claim documents.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holder in science, engineering or a business related discipline;
- Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in programme or project management, consultancy, business development and/or research & development;
- Possesses good organisation capability, excellent written and oral communication skills, and analytical;
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, resourceful and a team player;
- Post graduate qualifications in IP or business, will be highly regarded.
Post (7): Executive, Registry of Patents
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be part of a team involved in the processing of patent applications. He or she will also be required to carry out regular reviews of work procedures to identify areas for improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma holder with at least 1-2 years of working experience preferred
- Good command of English with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to work both in a team and also independently.
