Post (1): Deputy Director, Enterprise Development Department
Job Description:
- Provide leadership to identify, develop, implement and drive-to-closure Intellectual Property Management (IPM) projects
- Drive strategy and action plans to develop and transfer IPM capabilities.
- Drive implementation and maintenance of IPM processes and best practices.
- Drive and promote IPM community of practice and agenda across entire ecosystem.
- Train, mentor and coach on IP and IPM topics.
- Drive development of IPM processes, best practices and case studies for use in centralised self-help reference and resource
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science and engineering with postgraduate qualifications in IP, business or technical domain. Those without IP qualifications but are willing to undergo IP certification course are encouraged to apply.
- Possesses business and technical work experience
- Good hands-on analytical and adaptive skills.
- Good understanding on a broad range of technologies, products, services and applications. Able to assess and develop an IP’s opportunity and market value.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, hands-on, results oriented and team player
- Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, collaboration and multi-task project/event management skills
- At least 10 years working experience with minimum 2 - 3 years experience in IP management, business development, product/services development, program management, R&D management, technology transfer or new venture start-ups
Post (2): Legal Counsel - Deputy Director/ Senior Assistant Director
Job Description:
- Support IP Management Programme (IPMP) team in their engagements with agencies, including interactions with senior management;
- Provide legal advice and support to IPMP teams and agencies in regard to IP and its related issues;
- Draft, negotiate, review and maintain agreements involving IP;
- Direct and case manage panel of outside legal counsels and/or IP service providers;
- Contribute to IP related training initiatives carried out under the IPMP;
Job Requirements:
- LLB from a well- regarded law school and is qualified to practise in Singapore. Familiarity with the laws of intellectual property (IP), particularly in contract of commercial transaction. A postgraduate degree or specialization in IP law or qualifications as a patent attorney will be well regarded
- Minimum 5 years PQE experience, covering IP, contracts, commercial transactions and agreement drafting in the technology sector;
- Able to manage high volume of transactions or multiple projects concurrently;
- Demonstrated track record of success in developing and negotiating various contractual agreements, including but not limited to in- and out-licensing agreements;
- Good analytical skills.
Post (3): Legal Counsel, Senior Assistant Director, Registry of Patents
Job Description:
- Patent agent matters, including qualifying examinations and patent agent registrations;
- Patent policy formulation and changes to legislation, in particularly in areas relating to the patent agent profession;
- Conduct hearings in patent cases;
- Provide legal advice on patent-related matters;
- Assist in Registry-related operations, processes and matters.
Job Requirements:
- LLB (Honours) degree with knowledge in intellectual property and patent law;
- Preferably admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore;
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in the prosecution of patent applications;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Post (5): Assistant Director, Public Relations Department
Job Description:
- Lead the Department to plan and execute corporate communications activities to promote the organisation through the media and publicity channels.
- Manage regular and ad hoc communications and maintain good working relations with local and foreign print and broadcast media
- Support Crisis Communications, Corporate Identity Management and Events Management.
Job Requirements:
- A good recognised Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing Communications or a relevant field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Corporate Communications / Public Relations / Media Relations
- Experience in Crisis Communications, Marketing Communications and Website Management will be advantageous
- Must possess excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English and be effectively bilingual for interacting with all levels of personnel Good people skills
Post (6): Senior Executive, Registry of Patents Job Description:
- To play a significant role in the shaping and development of Singapore Patent Agent regime. You will execute Patent Agent regulatory functions and work closely with practising registered patent agents and lawyers in the Patent Agent Qualifying Examinations conducted by IPOS. In addition, you will also be involved in the policy review process of this regime as well as implementation of changes (if any).
Job Requirements:
- A degree holder
- Strong interest in Intellectual Property and Professional Development
- Able to work independently and self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess good interpersonal and planning skills
- Knowledge in research and analysis will be advantageous
Post (7): Senior Executive, Public Outreach Department ( 2 Vacancies )
Job Description:
- Successful candidate will work with the Head of Department to plan, design and execute the integrated public outreach campaign for IP awareness and education in Singapore. You will be involved in marketing the outreach programmes to relevant stakeholders, manage regular communications and maintain good working partnerships with the stakeholders. You will also manage online communications with members of the public through active engagement on relevant social media.
Job Requirements:
- • A good recognised Degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration, Marketing or a relevant field
- • 2 years’ working experience in the area of Promotions, Marketing and/or Events Management. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
- • Demonstrate high drive, confidence, adaptability, assertiveness and outgoing personality
- • Must possess excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills in English and be effectively bilingual for interfacing with all levels of personnel.
All the above positions will be on full-time (renewable) contract.
