• Outreach to legal fraternity
Besides the general public, IPOS also reaches out to the legal fraternity. On 11 January 2011, IPOS also conducted a Trends Briefing/ Report to the magistrates and district judges at the Subordinate Courts Singapore to keep them updated with the IP situation in Singapore. The briefing covered the protection of IP rights as well as projections or anticipated emerging trends. A guest lecture was also conducted by the Registry of Patents on 21 January 2011 at an International Patent Law & Policy class under the NUS Faculty of Law’s Continuing Legal Education Programme. This allowed IPOS to share our perspective on the Singapore patent system with postgraduate NUS students.
