IPOS took part in the yearly Ministry of Law Work Improvement Teams (WITS) Convention Awards by sending two teams, Aggregators and Y-KNOT?, which comprised members from the Public Relations Department and the Registry of Patents respectively. The Aggregators conceptualised and executed a project to aggregate the demand for events management to achieve economies of scale and cost optimisation, clinching the Silver medal for their efforts. Y-KNOT? received the Bronze medal for its WITS project on changes to Certificates of Grant of Patent, which resulted in greater convenience to patent owners and users, and introduced an authentication element to the Certificate of Grant of Patent.
